British Championships 2012

The British Championships took place along side the Home Internationals in Manorbier, south Wales. It was a cold wet week, but the atmosphere and friendliness of everyone involved made for a fantastic week of competition.

I competed for Northern Ireland in the team event, and we came a well deserved 2nd place to England, the reigning champions.

Home International results

  1. England 51 points
  2. Northern Ireland 71 points
  3. Wales 94 points
  4. Jersey 109 points

Irish Open 2012

So a while back I decided to drive to the Irish Open (1351 miles),  at Easkey, Ireland… And my partner in crime this time was Pete ‘The Badger’ Copp… We left late on a Tuesday evening, and with little to no sleep, arrived the next day to a breakfast at home that would of choked a horse!! Got to love going home to your mother!

We had a look at the forecast and decided a few days around Bundoran was the best option, before going on down to Easkey for the contest. It was great to meet up with friends old and new to surf with along the way, and score some pretty good waves too!

Thanks to Morgan O’Sullivan for putting on a great event as always, and to everyone who came along to give it a great buzz and atmosphere… But can you make it a bit warmer next year??

Xtreme Pantin, Galacia

Sun and surf! 🙂

Xtreme Pantin Kayak surfing + Wave ski Competition, in Galicia, Spain.

What can I say, the weekend was great from start to finish. From the organisation, to the hospitality, it was second to none. They even arranged for sunshine and great surf!!

I just got back home in Bude, and to say the least, I want to go back already. Thank you Ivan Pena, for organising such a fantastic weekend and event! It was a one of the best. And one that will definitely be in my calendar again!

Thanks to Marc Woolward also, for good company, and amusing me to no end. Shame about your boat though….. ( Pictures )

And my biggest thanks is to VUELING AIRLINES!! For their magnificent service, and managing to leave behind a whole, tightly packed airplanes worth of luggage! You morons!!!
