Off the back of the British Open, 1 week later I attended the Irish open in Easkey, Co Sligo. The build up to the event was great, watching the surf forecast, and lets just say it didn’t disappoint. It really was Easkey at its best!

After an early start, we arrived just as daylight was breaking, to see this….

 

The competition ran really well, super efficient, and after a long day, and the final heats with 55kph winds, we were all finished up!

It was great to see my dad returning to competition, after nearly 2 years of not even surfing, he made the final!
