A Good Day!
Mega International Group are pleased to announce that Chris has now joined the company in partnership, with malcolm Pearcey.
Chris will now be involved in all the day to day management functions of the business, as well as getting his hands sticky in the laminating room.
This is seen as a logical move for both Malcolm and Chris so that Mega can continue to grow and diversify, whilst maintaining the bench marks for the surf kayaking world.
Malcolm says, ” hopefully this will allow me to have the odd day off, something the family are itching for me to do, and maybe spend a little less time in front of the computer on facebook. This seems like a sensible move, given my recent helicopter experiences to Barnstaple hospital over the last couple of years . This will also give Chris a firm base for the future in Bude, although i’m sure he will still be making regular trips home to see his family”
Chris Said, “I am really happy, I aim to help Mega continue to grow, and for me to secure my long term future in kayaks. This has been a dream for a long time, and am very thankful to Malcolm for giving me this opportunity”

Greeve’s trophy
Whilst attending paddlefest, organised by CANI and Sport Northern Ireland, myself and Andy Mc Clelland were lucky enough to be co- awarded the Greeve’s trophy for outstanding achievement for winning junior and senior world titles at the 2011 kayak surf world championships from The Canoe Association of Northern Ireland.
Thanks to everyone who nominated us for the award!
Some new silverware!

Paddlefest 2012
Last year I was lucky enough to be invited to attend and coach at paddlefest , which this year was held in Moville, Co Donegal in Ireland.
With over 60 people attending, it was a great event for people to try and be coached different disciplines within kayaking including Surf, whitewater and sea, with top coaches and paddlers from the kayaking world there ,
including Olaf Obsommer, Andy McClelland and Ollie Saunders.
Thanks to CANI, and all the sponsors and investors for helping put this event on.
Copied Designs
Received this from Mega today –
“We have strong reason to believe that these boats are unauthorised copies of our models Neutron RV and Maverick, we also suspect that there are copies of the Scarab/ neutron HDP being produced by the same people. The labels on the kayaks suggest this is happening in Argentina. I believe as a community we should not be endorsing this practice and would ask all our friends to voice their views.
If this proves to be eminating from Argentina then I believe we should block any attempt by them to run the Worlds.”
